Welcome to the New America!
I’m writing this story to give a heads-up regarding a new identity thief scam that I believe illegal aliens in Oregon and Washington are using.
Basically, someone can use ALL YOUR INFORMATION OF ANY KIND, address, Social Security number, telephone number(s), even your Resume with impunity. The trick is they can use everything except your name. If they use their own name instead of yours, there is nothing the police will or can do about it. Yep, that’s the rule. They can become you in all respects and you are just SOOL.
Here’s how I found that out. In July 2014, I received a dental bill from Advantage Dental Group in Redmond, Oregon. It had a Bronica P.’s name on it, but my address here in Corvallis. I opened the bill which was for $101.
I called the Advantage Dental Group in Redmond and told them they had the wrong address for their patient and that I had no intention of paying the bill. I have my own dentists here in Corvallis and have never been to any of their offices. They weren’t sure what to do, but said they would take care of it. That was in July 2014. So I thought the issue was cleared up.
However, in February 2015, I was mailing a package at a UPS store here in Corvallis, and they always ask for your telephone number, so I gave it to them. The man said, that’s not your telephone number….I said, it most certainly was my telephone number. He said that my telephone number was being used by someone named Alejandra P. who lived on X street in Redmond. The Alejandra P. who lived on X street in Redmond was mailing something from Corvallis to a Estalla S. who lived at the same address in Redmond. It took several tries for me to get UPS to restore my telephone number back to me. Ms. Alejandra P. had used my cell phone number at UPS, and for several weeks before I found out about the UPS usage, I had been getting weird calls from an area code in the Tri-Cities area in Washington state. When I answered, they’d hang up.
I looked up Ms. Alejandra P. and she appears to have many aliases here in Oregon mostly in the Portland area. A man named Mr. G. also lives at the X address in Redmond and has many arrests listed. Great isn’t it!
Bottom line is, I have no idea who is using what information of mine or how they even got it. But there is nothing I or anyone else can do to make it stop, not even the police.
Unless there is loss of money to you involved, you have no idea how many clones of You Are Walking Around Out There!
