U.S. Gives 680,000 Green Cards to Migrants from Muslim Nations

With Islamic terrorism on the rise in the United States and Western Europe, it’s worth mentioning that the Obama administration issued around 680,000 green cards to foreigners from Muslim countries during a five-year period, according to data published by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). --Snip-- National security has never appeared to be a priority for the Obama administration, but this is downright alarming as the U.S. encounters burgeoning threats from radical Islamists. Misprinted green cards 'may have fallen into wrong hands'

(Hat tip: KimR) - U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services was supposed to have completed its conversion to a new automated system last year that would streamline and speed up the processing of green cards and other immigration benefits. Not only has the system gone 480 percent over budget and failed to meet its deadlines but it has increased green card errors rather than reducing them, an audit by the Inspector General’s Office has found. 1.1 Million New Green Cards Issued in 2009

4/9/2010 - While nearly 3 million Americans lost their jobs in 2009, the federal government issued more than 1 million new Green Cards over the same period of time. According to a new DHS report, 1,130,818 new Green Cards were issued to legal immigrants last year - the highest single-year number since 2006 and the fourth highest in history.
