The Hidden Agenda in Oregon

The stand off in Burns, Oregon just ended. A couple of weeks ago, one of the protestors, rancher Lavoy Finicum, was shot nine times by federal agents as he attempted to travel to a public meeting to discuss their purpose. Two others, brothers Ammon and Ryan Bundy, were arrested and put in solitary confinement. The Main Stream Media has painted the occupiers as armed militia, even using terms like “unhinged.” These labels are untrue and unfair descriptions. The truth is this is a story with a long history of abuse by the federal government... Read more at American Policy Center Read More......

Dr. Michael Welner: How Do We Lower Risk in America of Islamist Terror?

Michael Welner, M.D., Forensic Psychiatrist & Chairman, The Forensic Panel - (Snip) Public dialogue geared toward defusing the menace of Islamism has been buried in a false narrative built upon five outright lies. Use of any or more of these lies signifies efforts by the speaker to manipulate the American viewer and listener for political and ideological purposes...

The global human rights education project: a Trojan horse

The “global human rights education project” is a collective term for a worldwide rights-advocacy campaign through both formal and non-formal education channels. Amnesty International (AI), a major actor in human rights education (HRE), describes HRE on its website as “a deliberate, participatory practice aimed at empowering individuals, groups and communities through fostering knowledge, skills and attitudes consistent with internationally recognized human rights principles.” --Sounds innocuous – laudable, even – until one takes a long, hard look at how it defines and applies those ‘principles’.

Parents, don’t be fooled: The sex-ed agenda is more sinister than you know

It's a rare, if not historic pushback—tens of thousands of people across the Canadian province of Ontario are announcing loudly that they oppose the new sex education curriculum proposed by the province’s premier, Kathleen Wynne. Large numbers of protestors have made their voices heard in front of Wynne's office, in front of the provincial legislature at Queen's Park, and at the offices of Members of Provincial Parliament across the province. Harking from every culture and ethnic group, the protestors are demanding one thing: Let kids be kids. --The entire phenomenon is startling for a number of reasons. First of all, school systems have been implementing sex education programs that parents have disliked or outright opposed for decades now—but never has a movement of this size and tenacity congealed around opposing a curriculum and the politicians seeking to implement it, until now.

Sowell: The 'Fairness' Fraud

Thomas Sowell - It seems as if, everywhere you turn these days, there are studies claiming to show that America has lost its upward mobility for people born in the lower socioeconomic levels. But there is a sharp difference between upward "mobility," defined as an opportunity to rise, and mobility defined as actually having risen. ✧ That distinction is seldom even mentioned in most of the studies. It is as if everybody is chomping at the bit to get ahead, and the ones that don't rise have been stopped by "barriers" created by "society."

Fool Me Twice: Obama's Shocking Plans for the Next Four Years Exposed

The copy below is from an advertisement for Fool Me Twice, a book by investigative journalists and New York Times bestselling authors Aaron Klein and Brenda J. Elliott, which is to be released on August 14, 2012. The ad contains some chilling thoughts about a second term for President Obama.
  • the creation of a National Infrastructure Development Bank to oversee government control of the financial system;
  • a massive, government-run jobs program to coincide with "paycheck fairness";
  • full amnesty for illegal aliens;
  • de-funding of the U.S. military while channeling Pentagon money to "clean" energy initiatives;
  • a new, multi-billion dollar "green" stimulus;
  • and implementing Obamacare in measures nearly impossible to reverse.
  • And that is just the start.

Charles Fischer loses 5-year fight to build six houses on his 30-acre farm

$67,000 NOT substantial, according to Commissioners Modrell and Jaramillo, whose lack of compassion was stunning.
Read article at Corvallis Gazette-Times: Commissioners reject M49 claim

Disgusting! Republicans, don't forget this ruling.  Caught between Measures 37 and 49, the outcome of Mr. Fischer's case was not written in stone. The Commission had the latitude to grant Fischer his due but chose not to. Please note that Commissioner Annabelle Jaramillo (also chair of the Benton County Democrats) plans to run for a fourth term! --bc Read More......

End of the Line

Why the EPA Train Wreck Must be Stopped - Behind the scenes, while Washington and the United States focus on the debt crisis, President Obama’s EPA has been quietly implementing one of the most radical and costly policies of his administration. Ever since the failure of cap-and-trade, the administration has turned to the EPA to carry out its radical environmental agenda. Immediately after the 2010 election Obama was quoted saying “Cap-and-trade was just one way of skinning the cat; it was not the only way.” The EPA is in the process of completing and finalizing 30 major regulations and 170 major policy rules that would impose hundreds of billions of dollars of compliance costs on the economy, killing jobs and threatening the economic recovery. Because of the disastrous affects that the EPA’s new regulations will have on the already struggling economy, many have taken to calling the administration’s aggressive stance the “EPA train wreck.”

The Vast Majority of Americans Like the Internet Just the Way It Is

BIG GOVERNMENT, 9/29/2010 by Seton Motley - Even Obama voters think Net Neutrality is a solution looking for a problem ∴ Free Press, Public Knowledge and the rest of the ever-dwindling Media Marxist “Save the Internet” contingent incessantly assert that they are pushing their government regulatory Web agenda in the “public interest” – to protect consumers from the Big, Bad Telecom companies. ∴ Well it turns out – yet again – that the public isn’t interested in what Free Press & Co. are offering – perhaps because they rightly realize that the “reformers” are looking to burn down the Internet in order to “save” it.

There is a new poll... (Read more at Big Government) Read More......

Krauthammer: What Scott Brown's win means for the Democrats

WASHINGTON POST, 1/22/2010 by Charles Kuarthammer - [Excerpts] After Coakley's defeat, Obama pretended that the real cause was a generalized anger and frustration "not just because of what's happened in the last year or two years, but what's happened over the last eight years." ∴ Let's get this straight: The antipathy to George W. Bush is so enduring and powerful that . . . it just elected a Republican senator in Massachusetts? Why, the man is omnipotent. ∴ And the Democrats are delusional: Scott Brown won by running against Obama, not Bush. He won by brilliantly nationalizing the race, running hard against the Obama agenda, most notably Obamacare. Killing it was his No. 1 campaign promise. Read full op-ed at the Washington Post... Why Are We Still Listening to Progressives About the Environment?

FOXNews.com, 9/2/2009, GLENN BECK (Transcript) - Your food is going to cost more, some products will be much harder to get and I'll tell you why: California's farmers are suffering through an environmental crisis and the government is only making it worse. ∴ The Central Valley is a 400-mile long area spanning 18 counties in California, which is responsible for 57 percent of the state's total farming. And when you consider that California represents about 13 percent of farm receipts in America, it's going to make almonds, artichokes, olives, nectarines, grapes, strawberries, peaches, lettuce and plums harder to get. ∴ The Central Valley has already been hit with a severe drought, which Washington managed to make much, much worse. The Wall Street Journal reports that federal environmental rulings (designed to protect the delta smelt) have reduced water shipments to local farmers to just 10 percent of what they had been getting. A Reckless Congress

WSJ|OPINION, 7/17/2009 - Democrats want to ram through one of the greatest raids on private income and business in American history. ∴ Say this about the 1,018-page health-care bill that House Democrats unveiled this week and that President Obama heartily endorsed: It finally reveals at least some of the price of the reckless ambitions of our current government. With huge majorities and a President in a rush to outrun the declining popularity of his agenda, Democrats are bidding to impose an unrepealable European-style welfare state in a matter of weeks. ∴ Mr. Obama's February budget provided the outline, but the House bill now fills in the details.
