Immigration and Naturalization Act of 1965 Explained
The Immigration and Naturalization Act of 1965, also known as the Hart-Celler Act, abolished an earlier quota system based on national origin and established a new immigration policy based on reuniting immigrant families and attracting skilled labor to the United States. Over the next four decades, the policies put into effect in 1965 would greatly change the demographic makeup of the American population, as immigrants entering the United States under the new legislation came increasingly from countries in Asia, Africa and Latin America, as opposed to Europe.

Breitbart.com: Hidden Ipsos Poll: Public Strongly Backs Donald Trump’s Plan To ‘Pause’ Legal Immigration
A just-released poll shows that Donald Trump’s campaign-trail immigration and labor policies have overwhelming public support, and strong opposition from just one-sixth of voters. (Snip) Ipsos is a highly rated polling firm, but conducted the poll in September and hid the pro-Trump answers until Nov. 16, a week after the election. (Snip) Many polls show that most Americans do like immigrants, and they want to be seen liking immigration — but they also want a reduction in the annual immigration of 1 million people, which cuts salaries for the 4 million Americans who enter the job market each year.

The Past Six Presidents Have All Used Executive Power To Block Certain Classes Of Immigrants
Donald Trump has received much flak from Democrats and Republicans alike for his proposal to ban Muslims from entering the U.S through executive authority. However, the past six presidents have all used the executive power to bar different classes of immigrants and that includes President Barack Obama, who has used the authority six times in his tenure granted in Section 212(f) of the Immigration and Nationality Act of 1952.

Obama Administration Tells Supreme Court 'Lawfully' Doesn't Mean 'Legally'
(Hat tip: KimR) - “Lawfully” does not mean “legally.” Welcome to what Solicitor General Donald Verrilli told the Supreme Court on Monday is the “immigration world.” Or, more accurately, welcome to the new world President Barack Obama — through his solicitor — is asking the Supreme Court to join him in declaring. How to Fix Illegal Immigration in Five Steps without Building a Wall
Beware the bundler. I don't mean the political fundraiser (though those guys can be pretty shady, too) but the lawmaker, the guy who insists that every issue is related to every other issue and that the only solution is a grand "comprehensive" bipartisan compromise resulting in a generation-defining piece of legislation that's 8,000 pages long. Consider the question of illegal immigration. Read more at National Review

Worried About Refugee Crisis, Dutch Voters Flock to Geert Wilders' Anti-Immigration Party
According to a new report from the Dutch social policy institute, the SCP, almost one-third of Dutch voters now believes that immigration and integration are serious issues. Dutch News explains: Almost 30% now consider immigration and integration to be the biggest problems facing the country, double the figure at the start of the year. In particular, people are afraid of increasing tensions in society and many think it unfair so much money is being diverted to refugees while Dutch people live in poverty, the SCP says...

Brother of Paris jihad murderer worked in Belgian immigration department
Mohamed Abdeslam is the brother of two of the terrorists that attacked Paris Friday night. They hail from Molenbeek, an impoverished immigrant district in Brussels known to be a jihadi hotbed. One of Mohamed's brothers, Ibrahim, blew himself up outside of the cafe Comptoir Voltaire near the Bataclan concert hall. The other, Salah, is now on the run after making it back across the Belgian border and is currently one of the world's most wanted terrorists. Mohamed was held and questioned by French police, but later released after it was determined he played no role in the attacks.

Paul Ryan: Job of U.S. Lawmaker is to Put Yourself in Shoes of Foreign Citizens
As the donor class continues to push for a Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI)58% Speakership, conservative activists have renewed their scrutiny of Ryan’s support for a radical Republican policy of open borders. Breitbart News has discovered yet another little-noticed video in which Ryan articulates his commitment to immigration policies that would dissolve America’s sovereignty.

McConnell Capitulates To Cruz On Immigration
How many times have we been told that Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, running for the GOP presidential nomination, is an ineffective "wacko bird,"in Arizona Sen. John McCain's insulting words? ...it now looks like he's ended up being very effective in getting the Senate to do something about illegal alien violent criminals. --The first piece of legislation the U.S. Senate will take up after its October recess will be a measure that includes Cruz-backed Kate's Law, imposing a mandatory five years in prison for deported aliens who re-enter America illegally.

2016 candidates must address high poverty rates among immigrant communities
Immigrants are known for bringing a strong work ethic and economic stimuli to the U.S., but as their families settle into American life, too many are earning too little. --According to the latest US Census data on means-tested government assistance, the two largest demographic groups that include large numbers of recent immigrants or children of immigrants (Asians and Hispanics) are disproportionately poor enough to qualify for public assistance.

In Sweden, Trouble in Paradise: Jihadist Trojan horses are flowing through the porous border
Lefties like to tout Sweden — a country of ten milliion people — whenever they’re bloviating about the joys of national socialism. But here’s one native-born Swedish-American who’s having none of it:

This is the last post on this blog. I am leaving Sweden for good shortly, and will no longer be following its descent from what was once the third most prosperous country in the world. Frankly, it’s just too damn depressing. I was born and raised in Sweden, which leaves a cultural mark even though I moved to USA in the 1990s and have spent the better part of my adult life as an American. Coming back for a few years has been a shocking experience. When I was a child, Sweden was a dull yet very safe place to live. Yes, there was a heavy blanket of socialism and collectivist values covering everything, but there was a core of pragmatism beneath the redness. The intention and goal was always to benefit the citizens, even though they went about things in a backwards manner.Read more at Pajamas Media

Ramos Can Stay, But Matt Lauer Has to Go
I finally found a Mexican willing to do a job no American will do! I have an explosive book on the No. 1 issue in the country coming out next week, I've already written 10 New York Times best-sellers -- I'd be on a postage stamp if I were a liberal -- but can't get an interview on ABC, NBC or CBS. Only Mexican-born Jorge Ramos would interview me on his Fusion network. Yay, Jorge! --After a spellbinding interview, Ramos ended by asking this excellent question -- which I had suggested myself for all authors, most of whom write very boring books, harming the marketability of my own books: "Is there anything in your book that isn't already generally known?" --My soon-to-be-released book, "Adios, America! The Left's Plan to Turn Our Country into a Third World Hellhole," is jam-packed with facts you didn't already know. Don't even think of using it as a coaster, like those other books.

Obama-GOP "Trade" Scheme Includes "Unrestricted Immigration"
The establishment GOP-backed Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP, recently touted by the White House as the “most progressive trade agreement in history,” is also a “Trojan horse” to advance Obama’s “unrestricted immigration” agenda, according to political insiders and critics who have studied the secretive scheming. With the Big Government wing of the Republican Party currently plotting to empower the Obama administration with fast-track Trade Promotion Authority to make it easier to impose the TPP and other radical agreements on the American people, opponents are warning that the White House immigration agenda may become all but impossible to stop. Critics say Congress must refuse to empower Obama on the issue.
