Tyler Skluzacek was in sixth grade when his dad, Sgt. 1st Class Patrick Skluzacek, spent a year in Iraq. When he returned home, Tyler noticed something different about him. He suffered from night terrors. --Tyler said: "Your dad just disappearing for a year and coming back a little bit different and seeing his Army buddies and them coming back a little bit different, too. I have a real personal connection to the PTSD problem."

This Kid Invented Something Fabulous for Vets and Will Never Be Invited to the White

Press Corp: High school students build zero-emission 300 mpg electric car
PRESS CORP, 3/4/2011 - A new electric car that can get more than 300 miles per gallon. You read right – three, zero, zero miles per gallon. But this car wasn’t created by any of the major car manufacturers in Japan, Detroit or Germany. It’s the brainchild of students from DeLaSalle Education Center, a high school in Kansas City, Mo. for students who need an alternative to the traditional system.
