Liberal ‘Dominionists’ Want to Eliminate Christianity From Society
Excerpt: Who runs the banks, Federal Reserve, pre-school through 12th, courts, most of the media, most law schools, the entertainment industry, and most colleges and universities? --The secular dominionists are heirs of communist theorist Antonio Gramsci who argued that to change a society “would require a ‘long march through the institutions’—the arts, cinema, theater, schools, colleges, seminaries, newspapers, magazines, and the new electronic medium [at the time], radio.” Read more at Constitution.com

David Brooks: How to Fix Politics
In the middle of this depressing presidential campaign I sometimes wonder, How could we make our politics better? --It’s possible to imagine an elite solution. The next president could get together with the leaders of both parties in Congress and say: “We’re going to change the way we do business in Washington. We’re going to deliberate and negotiate. We’ll disagree and wrangle, but we will not treat this as good-versus-evil blood sport.” That kind of leadership might trickle down. --But it’s increasingly clear that the roots of political dysfunction lie deep in society. If there’s truly going to be improvement, there has to be improvement in the social context politics is embedded in. Read more at New York Times

Differences Between Left and Right: Part II
Dennis Prager - The difference between Right and Left addressed in this column concerns a fundamentally different method that each utilizes in order to improve society. --Conservatives believe that the way to a better world is almost always through moral improvement of the individual — by each person doing battle with his own moral defects. It is true that in particularly violent and evil societies such as fascist, communist and Islamist tyrannies the individual must be preoccupied with battling outside forces. Almost everywhere else, however, and certainly in a free and decent country such as America, the greatest battle of the individual must be with inner forces — that is, with his or her flawed character and moral defects. (See Left-Right Difference Part 1 concerning their differing perceptions of human nature.)

Sowell: The 'Fairness' Fraud
Thomas Sowell - It seems as if, everywhere you turn these days, there are studies claiming to show that America has lost its upward mobility for people born in the lower socioeconomic levels. But there is a sharp difference between upward "mobility," defined as an opportunity to rise, and mobility defined as actually having risen. ✧ That distinction is seldom even mentioned in most of the studies. It is as if everybody is chomping at the bit to get ahead, and the ones that don't rise have been stopped by "barriers" created by "society."

18 Signs the Collapse of Society is Accelerating
ECONOMIC COLLAPSE, 6/9/2011 (Hat tip: V2A) - As the U.S. economy collapses, the thin veneer of civilization that we all take for granted is going to begin to disappear. In fact, there are already an increasing number of signs that the collapse of society is accelerating. In cities such as Chicago, roving packs of young people are "mob robbing" local businesses, randomly assaulting tourists and shoppers and are even pulling people out of vehicles. This isn't just happening in the "bad areas" anymore. Read more at The Economic Collapse...
