Liberal Media and Gun-Grabbers Ignore Latest CDC Report – It Doesn’t Fit Their Narrative
(Hat tip: KimR) - The Center For Disease Control has released a detailed report regarding causes of death, using data from 2013. The report was released on February 16th, and nearly a week later, no mention of it by Bloomberg’s Everytown For Gun Safety, which is the research and PAC wing of his gun control efforts. There’s a reason for the silence. They don’t want you to know that gun related homicide doesn’t even crack the top 15 causes of death in America. Read more at Gateway Pundit

The Guardian equates Suicide to Self Defense in SHOT Show Coverage
The left loves to use false comparisons of unrelated numbers to make bad arguments. In a recent article about the Shooting, Hunting and Outdoor Trade (SHOT) Show in the Guardian, a far-left British newspaper, the reporters start with an off the cuff remark from an economics professor. From the guardian.com: "People are buying guns as part of the American dream of freedom and liberty," said Brauer, who is based at the Hull College of Business at Augusta University. "And also, the hope and the dream of being able to use guns in self-defence."

Comparing Death Rates from Mass Public Shootings and Mass Public Violence in the US and Europe
In his address to the nation after the Charleston attack, Obama claimed: “we as a country will have to reckon with the fact that this type of mass violence does not happen in other advanced countries. It doesn’t happen in other places with this kind of frequency.” --Senator Harry Reid made a similar statement on June 23rd: “The United States is the only advanced country where this type of mass violence occurs. Let’s do something. We can expand, for example, background checks. … We should support not giving guns to people who are mentally ill and felons.”

Note: Remember the Department of Homeland Security's 2009 controversial report released with the blessings of then Secretary Janet Napolitano regarding right-wing extremists and returning veterans. Today's leftists appear to believe that anyone to the right of center politically suffers from a mental illness. Who wants these folks re-defining 'mental illness' to determine who can own a gun? See Washington Times article. --bc Read More......

After two years of Obama, here's your change
Not one positive number in this list of vital economic statistics. Every American, whether Democrat or Republican, should be looking at this list and asking, "How can we change these trends?" The answer is in November 2012. LIST BELOW
Just take this last item: In the last two years, we have accumulated national debt at a rate more than 27 times as fast as during the rest of our entire nation's history. That's over 27 times as fast! Metaphorically speaking, if you are driving in the right lane doing 65 MPH, and a car rockets past you in the left lane 27 times faster, it would be doing 1,755 MPH!

Jobless Stats, Good News Hides the Bad
FOX, 8/7/2009 - The dip in the unemployment rate -- from June's 9.5 percent -- was the first since April 2008. But by other measurements, the jobless rate is still above 10 percent. ∴ The White House, reacting to the latest jobless report showing the unemployment rate fell unexpectedly to 9.4 percent in July, predicted that despite the good news the rate would still hit 10 percent before year's end. ∴ But in effect it already has. ∴ The actual percentage of Americans who remain unemployed -- including those who have stopped looking for work -- is considerably higher than 9.4 percent and surpassed 10 percent months ago. By one measure, the unemployment rate is really 10.7 percent. Read more at FoxNews.com...
