Lincoln Day Dinner

Download our printable flyer here.

The Benton County Republican Women have a wonderful evening planned to celebrate President Abraham Lincoln’s birthday.

We are delighted to have State Representative Dennis Richardson as our evening’s speaker. Mr. Richardson’s message will give us all good reason to be excited about the upcoming plans our State Republican Legislators have committed to, as well as generating an overall good feeling for being caring and working members of the Republican Party.

During the social hour hors d’oeuvres and beverages will be served and a no host bar will be available. While mingling with friends, you will have an opportunity to look over the beautiful items in our silent auction and place your bids.

After the lovely buffet dinner Rep. Richardson will speak and then our oral auction will take place.

Auction proceeds help support the Benton County Republican Women’s many community service projects, most notably...

BCRW Project #1 is “The Dictionary Project”, a community service effort of Benton Co. Republican Women. Over the past six years, we have provided dictionaries for all 4th grade students in public, private and home schools in Benton County. Additional dictionaries are provided to specialized classes in middle schools and alternative learning centers. These dictionaries are more than a standard reference book. They promote love of country and knowledge of its laws and Constitution. To date, we have served nearly 7,000 children.

BCRW Project #2 is the establishment of the Benton County Constitution Center, in cooperation with the Republican Central Committee. The Democratic Central Committee has been invited to join our effort. We have established the name of the center to be the “Ross Conklin Constitution Center.” Ross was the Republican Central Committee Treasurer, and a Constitution Center in Benton County was his dream and goal. Just imagine a Constitution Center that encourages knowledge of and an appreciation of our country and its unique beginning. Presentations and speakers regarding our Founding Fathers and their goals and challenges will be sought after to enhance the education of our history for both our youth, and the general public.

Presently the Benton County Republican Women have developed a "Constitution Day" program that can be used by any teacher in Benton County. They only need to ask and all props will be made available to them.
