As you all know, State Senator Chris Telfer ran for State Treasurer in the 2010 Elections but Oregon voters did not do what makes sense in a down economy... they did not elect Chris Telfer, a CPA who had real ideas that could help strengthen Oregon's economy now and build stability into its fiscal policies for the future. Good news, however. Chris Telfer is still working on her good sense ideas and will do so through legislative process as a State Senator. Please read her appeal for funds to do so.

Dear Friend,
I want to take a moment to thank you for your ongoing support. I can't begin to tell you how much it means. Although I will not be heading to the State Treasurer's office this January, I'm grateful for all of the progress that we made in bringing some critical issues to light. The good news is that I will continue to serve in the Senate and will continue to work diligently to represent the best interests of my constituency here in Deschutes County. With the election behind me I am now looking toward the future.
During this 2011 Legislative Session I will work to improve our economy, build a responsible budget and serve as Vice Chair of the vitally-important Senate Redistricting Committee.
All of this will only be possible with your help today. We must start now if we are to turn the success of this election cycle into a long term solution for the problems we face. However, without any major elections for 2011, it's critical for me to maintain the level of financial support that enables me to do the best job I can. Not only does my Senate PAC fund many of the expenses that cannot be covered by my legislative buget, but it enables me to stay engaged with my constituents on an ongoing basis. I realize that in these tough economic times, finances are limited, but if you're able, I hope you will strongly consider being a supporter of my Senate PAC, Committee to Elect Chris Telfer. Contributions must be received prior to legislative session, commencing on February 1, 2011.
I look forward to working for you during the 2011 Legislative Session and beyond.
Sincerely,
Chris
Senator Chris Telfer
District 27
P.S. I would not be a very good CPA if I didn't also mention that Oregon offers a "Political Tax Credit" that could allow you to get up to $100 of your contribution back when you file your 2010 Oregon Income Tax Return, While you should consult your own tax advisor on this matter - this is a great opportunity!
Contributions can be mailed to Committee to Elect Chris Telfer, P.O. Box 2027 Bend, OR 97709
