Colorado state pension plan to miss full-funding target by 14 years
Colorado’s pension plan is on track to be fully funded by 2055 — 14 years after the 2041 target date set by the Colorado Legislature in 2010. Now, lawmakers will need to decide if they want to stick to the 2041 target date, or agree that it will take longer than they planned for the Colorado Public Employees’ Retirement Association to have the money to pay for the promised benefits to PERA’s 529,000.

EPA’s Toxic Mega-spill May Have Been Deliberate, Critics Suggest
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has made a major mess of the Animas River in Colorado and beyond, and now, some analysts are suggesting it may have even been a deliberate plot to bilk taxpayers and shut down mining in the region. Critics of the EPA are pointing to a letter by geologist Dave Taylor, published a week before the toxic spill, warning residents to protect themselves from the EPA and predicting a similar disaster in the same area purposely caused by the controversial agency. Now, almost as if on cue, the EPA is seeking more money and more power to deal with the crisis that it created.

Colorado Senate Votes to Repeal Expanded Background Checks
On March 25, the Colorado Senate voted to repeal the expanded background checks that Democrats rammed through as part of the draconian gun control package that was implemented on July 1, 2013.
Democrats justified the passage of expanded background checks by pointing to “mass shootings” at the Aurora movie theater and Sandy Hook Elementary School. In both instances, the lawmakers failed to note that federal background checks were already in place and failed to stop either gunman.

Michelle Malkin: Rocky Mountain Heist
Rocky Mountain Heist, written and directed by Jason Killian Meath (King of Bain) and produced by David N. Bossie (Hillary The Movie), sheds light on the once-Red state of Colorado which is now reliably Democrat. This documentary reveals the truth behind the “Gang of Four” – a secretive group of Leftist millionaires and billionaires who hijacked Colorado politics. The result was a restructuring of the once-reliable Red state. Now, homelessness is at an all-time high, marijuana is smoked in once family-friendly parks, gun control is rampant and the state’s energy industry is under constant assault. Unfortunately, the State of Colorado is now a perfect example of President Obama’s promise to “fundamentally transform America.” The most disturbing aspect of this Colorado “heist” is this model is being replicated across other reliably Red states such as Virginia and Texas – if successful, the results could be catastrophic for America as a nation.

- "Liberty-loving Americans: You must watch our film exposing how a small group of wealthy Liberals overtook Colorado. They used every scheme possible to impose a backward agenda and they transformed the place I love into a testing ground for their liberal ideology. Make sure it doesn't happen in your state next!" — Michelle Malkin

Sen. DeMint: White House land grab
WASHINGTON POST, 3/2/2010 by Sen. Jim DeMint, R-SC (Via Email/Hat tip: Linda Weimer) - You'd think the Obama administration is busy enough controlling the banks, insurance companies and automakers, but thanks to whistleblowers at the Department of the Interior, we now learn they're planning to increase their control over energy-rich land in the West. ∴ A secret administration memo has surfaced revealing plans for the federal government to seize more than 10 million acres from Montana to New Mexico, halting job- creating activities like ranching, forestry, mining and energy development. Worse, this land grab would dry up tax revenue that's essential for funding schools, firehouses and community centers. ∴ President Obama could enact the plans in this memo with just the stroke of a pen, without any input from the communities affected by it.
