The latest economic report from the Congressional Budget Office, released Tuesday, says the health care law will cause Americans to work fewer hours — enough to be the equivalent of 2 million fewer jobs in 2017. The latest number is nearly three times as high as the budget office’s previous prediction. ✧ This was then followed by a nervous rush by the Left to justify the need for “less work”, For “hanging about,” for “discovering our passions,” for smoking a big fat (now legal) joint, and for relying on the sweat of YOUR NEIGHBOR’S BROW and not your own to finance these “internal endeavors.”

Jobless rate stays put in January
OREGON POLITICO, 3/2/2010, SALEM - Unemployment numbers released Tuesday by the Oregon Employment Department showed Oregon’s jobless rate has began to hover around 11 percent for January. ∴ The numbers showed Oregon maintaining a 10.7 percent unemployment rate, which is up from 10.6 percent in December and 9.9 percent in January 2009. White House Economic Adviser: Jobs Picture is 'Still Terrible'
FOXNews.com, 1/10/2010 - A top White House economic adviser said Sunday "you'll get no argument from" her on the need to improve the miserable jobs picture. ∴ Council of Economic Advisers chief Christina Romer said it's devastating that some workers have been unemployed for two years and that job losses were continuing nearly a year after passage of the so-called stimulus bill. ∴ The jobless rate remained at 10 percent in December as 660,000 people said they had left the workforce.
