The lesson from the last 20 years of immigration policy is that lawlessness breeds more lawlessness. Once a people or a government decides to normalize one form of lawbreaking, other forms of lawlessness will follow until finally the rule of law itself is in profound jeopardy. Today, we have a constitutional crisis on our hands. President Obama has decided that because Congress has not granted amnesty to millions of illegal aliens living in the U.S., he will do so himself. Let us ponder for a moment just how shameless this assertion of power is.

Ted Cruz Releases Definitive List of 76 ‘Lawless’ Obama Actions
Republican Sen. Ted Cruz released a definitive list Wednesday of 76 “lawless” Obama administration actions and abuses of power. Cruz’s “The Legal Limit Report No. 4,” obtained by The Daily Caller, delves into little-known and little-reported details of President Obama’s executive actions. Cruz was set to discuss his report at the Federalist Society in the Promenade Ballroom of the Mayflower Hotel in Washington at 2:15 PM Wednesday. “Of all the troubling aspects of the Obama presidency, none is more dangerous than the President’s persistent pattern of lawlessness, his willingness to disregard the written law and instead enforce his own policies via executive fiat,” Cruz stated in the report’s introductory remarks.

WSJ: Obama's Hidden Budget
How does President Barack Obama plan to fund the new savings program he announced in January? It remains a mystery, even after Tuesday's release of Mr. Obama's 2015 budget proposal. Expect resistance on Capitol Hill as the President appears to be once again testing the limits of his ability to act without Congressional approval. ✧ In his January State of the Union address and then at a subsequent speech in Pennsylvania, the President touted his new "MyRA" plan, a type of Roth Individual Retirement Account that allows after-tax dollars to grow tax-free and will invest only in government debt. He also claimed the authority to create the program administratively. ✧ Team Obama says that the MyRA plan will allow private-sector workers to enjoy the same returns as government workers enjoy in a retirement plan known as the G Fund, but without paying any of the fees.
