Please note that last year's figures do not include the cost of changes under the Affordable Care Act, which Mr. Adler estimates will come to about 6% of spending when they are fully phased in.

Manufacturing Drops... Unexpectedly!
Bloomberg: Manufacturing in the U.S. unexpectedly shrank in May at the fastest pace in four years, showing slowdowns in business and government spending are holding back the world’s largest economy.
John Hindraker at Power Line: America’s slow-to-nonexistent economic growth, of which today’s [June 3] manufacturing data are one of many symptoms, is the result of bad government policies: out-of-control regulations, excessive and inefficient government spending, rising tax rates and the impending disaster of Obamacare, to name the most obvious ones. Charles Krauthammer said in Feb 2013:
There are two ways to enslave a Nation. One is by sword, the other is by debt.
I contend that for a nation to try to tax itself into prosperity is like a man standing in a bucket and trying to lift himself up by the handle. --Winston Churchill
Did you ever notice: When you put the 2 words 'The' and 'IRS' together it spells “Theirs”
The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people’s money. --Margaret Thatcher.
Bringing the Word of God to children is a most important task. With all the millions of words that have been printed and disseminated throughout human history, there remains no better blueprint for our life’s journey, no superior source of guidance, than the inspired words of Scripture. Ronald Reagan
The secret of getting ahead is getting started. --Mark Twain

The current Senate proposal must be improved, either in the Senate or by the House. It’s not complicated. Build the damn fence. And give “probationary legal status” to the 11 million not on the day the bill is signed, but on the day the fence is completed. Have the president drive in the golden fence post at Promontory Point 11 and sign the amnesty right there. Great photo op.Integrity is not an option. A good name will always serve you well. --Jorrie Muniz
